    Working principle:

    The main machine employs a six-column frame structure with four columns and two lead screws. The upper crossbeam and lower crossbeam form the stretching space, while the lower crossbeam and worktable constitute the compression space. Composed of an electrical controller, servo valve, load sensor, displacement sensor, extensometer, and computer, it forms a closed-loop servo control system. This system can automatically and precisely control the testing process and automatically measure test parameters such as test force, displacement, and deformation.

    (1) Application in Tensile Tests

    Test Device and Fixture Configuration

    Special wedge-shaped fixtures are used to fix both ends of the ribbed steel bar specimen, ensuring that the clamping surface is perpendicular to the specimen's axis to avoid eccentric loading that may affect test accuracy. The upper and lower crossbeams form a tensile space, and axial tensile force is applied through the hydraulic system.

    Control Mode and Parameter Setting

    A composite control mode of force control - displacement control is typically adopted: in the initial stage, force is applied at a constant rate (e.g., 10 kN/min), and when approaching the yield point, it switches to displacement control (0.05 - 2 mm/min) to accurately capture the yield strength.

    Data Collection and Analysis

    The load sensor monitors the tensile force variation in real time, the extensometer records the deformation within the gauge length, and the computer automatically plots the "force - displacement" curve, calculating parameters such as specified non-proportional elongation strength (ReL, ReH), tensile strength (Rm), and percentage elongation after fracture (A).

    (2) Implementation of Bending Tests

    Bending Device and Method

    Replace the bending indenter and supports, adjust the support spacing according to the diameter of the ribbed steel bar (typically 3 times the diameter), adopt a 180° cold bending method, and slowly press the indenter down until the specimen is bent to the specified angle, then observe whether cracks appear on the surface.

    Verification of Standard Compliance

    In accordance with GB/T 1499.2 - 2018 Steel for the Reinforcement of Concrete - Part 2: Hot - Rolled Ribbed Steel Bars, the surface of the specimen after the bending test shall not have visible cracks to verify that its technological properties meet the requirements of construction steel.
